Naby Keita and Diogo Jota return dates confirmed

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed the return dates for Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita and striker Diogo Jota

Diogo Jota has been out since early December with a knee injury while Naby Keita hasn't played since Liverpool's 7-0 win over Crystal Palace.

On Keita's return,  Liverpool boss Jurgen  Klopp said: "It was a hamstring, slightly bigger one.

"He is back on the pitch but not with the team yet.

"He is individual training sessions, hard training sessions now, so it's the final stages of his rehab. But still not there."

While Keita has an outside chance of featuring again this month, Jota is facing a race against time to be available for the second leg of Liverpool's Champions League round of 16 tie against RB Leipzig on March 10.

The Portuguese, who has scored nine goals in 17 games since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers in September, was pictured working at Kirkby earlier this month.

But Klopp said: "Diogo is close, but not as close as Naby, for example.

"But he is on the pitch as well. Individual sessions, but not the same intensity. You can imagine after a longer time in rehab you have to train really intense before you can go back to team training.

"Diogo, two to three weeks maybe... probably the medical department hits me now!

"But I think that's kind of possible. Back in full training maybe and then we will see how long it takes."
