Gini Wijnaldum has agreed to extend his stay at Anfield but under one condition
A long-standing offer of a new deal remains on the table but the 30-year old Dutch midfielder has not accepted it.
According to Sky Sports suggestions that Wijnaldum is forcing his way out of Liverpool are incorrect.
The media outlet state that the Liverpool midfielder wants to stay at Anfield but has demanded his wages should compare more favourably with the club's top earners.
Former Dutch international and manager at Barcelona Ronald Koeman remains keen to sign Wijnaldum but an ongoing presidential elections, has put any potential transfer business on hold, with Koeman's future at the club far from secure after a difficult start to the La Liga season.
