Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara was again not spotted among Jurgen Klopp's squad at Melwood on Thursday
Thiago Alcantara was again missing as Liverpool ramped up preparations for the weekend visit to Manchester City.
Thiago was a notable absentee as the Premier League and world champions underwent a training session on Thursday evening ahead of Sunday's trip to the Etihad.
The Spaniard hasn't featured since suffering a knee injury when caught by a red-card challenge from Everton forward Richarlison almost three weeks ago.
The midfielder played the closing moments before later undergoing a scan. And while he was pictured training in a one-to-one session at Melwood last week, he still hasn't resumed full team training.
Liverpool were otherwise at expected full strength, missing long-term injury victims Virgil van Dijk, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Fabinho.
Nat Phillips, who made his Premier League debut last weekend against West Ham United, was involved, as were Rhys Williams, Joel Matip and Billy Koumetio.
Klopp will decide which one to partner Joe Gomez at the heart of defence for the clash against Pep Guardiola's side.
Liverpool go into the match a point clear at the top of the Premier League with 16 points from seven games. City are five points adrift in 10th but have a game in hand.
