Both Fabinho and Thiago haven't played since October and Klopp has given latest update on their respective Liverpool returns
Jurgen Klopp is reluctant to rush back Thiago Alcantara from injury but hinted Fabinho could feature when Liverpool entertain Leicester.
Thiago has not played for the Reds since the 2-2 draw with Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on October 17.
The Spain international was caught with a high tackle from Richarlison for a foul that saw the Brazil forward shown a straight red card.
Thiago did complete the game but hasn't featured for the Reds since , missing six matches so far.
The midfielder is likely sit out the meeting with the league leaders at Anfield on Sunday too.
Klopp said the former Bayern Munich star did not suffer a setback in his rehabilitation from the initial injury from Richarlison's challenge, but suggested he is unlikely to feature against Brendan Rodgers's Foxes.
"[His absence] is a consequence of the injury," Klopp said. "It was a hit, a straight kick on his knee, so it is a consequence of the injury.
"People are desperate to see him? So am I, but I cannot change these things.
"We have to deal with the consequence of the injuries and the accidents, the fouls, whatever.
"In this game there were fouls, harsh fouls and if he could have played before, he would have, but he couldn't.
"He is out there on the pitch, running, all that stuff. It will not be too long anymore.
"In the same day we got the horrible [scan] pictures from Virgil and then we were kind of relieved it was not that serious for Thiago, but it was always clear it would not be a few days.
"In the first few days we thought it would settle quickly, but it didn't. So that is what you have to accept and we don't rush it.
"We prepare him for the rest of the season not for the first game he can play again, so that is the situation."
Thiago is yet to return to full training with the rest of his team-mates as they have been put through their paces at the club's new AXA Training Centre in Kirkby this week.
Klopp did, however, offer a more heartening update on Fabinho, who has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury against Midtjylland in the Champions League on October 27.
The Reds boss added: "Players have to train in the big team sessions not only once [before they are considered].
"If it was really serious and we had no other players then maybe one session has to be enough from time to time.
"It has not happened too often, I can't remember when it happened last time.
"Usually, as I say, we do not prepare players for only one game, so that means they need to be part of [full training].
"Fabinho was part of that. What we make of that we will see because I don't know yet how he reacts and all that stuff, but Fabinho was part of the normal team training."
