Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has greatly criticised the hectic football calender this season
Due to the truncated nature of the 2020-21 season, games are being played in a much narrower time frame and there has been a significant increase in injuries as a result.
Premier League champions Liverpool have lost Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the long-term while Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also sidelined.
For that , Klopp has heavily criticised the calender congestion this term calling for a change in number of substitutes from three to five.
But Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho doesn't think Klopp's opinion will be given greenlight and has warned that the German must adapt to the hectic Premier League fixture schedule.
"Klopp arrived by 2015," said Mourinho.
"I arrived in 2004 so what he knows from 2015, I know since 2004. And nothing changes. We have to adapt to it and that's the way it is."
