The versatile Brazil international underwent a scan on Wednesday morning on the hamstring injury he sustained against Midtjylland in the Champions League
Liverpool had feared Fabinho had suffered a grade-three hamstring tear but Jurgen Klopp is offered a ray of hope in the Brazilian's injury with his squad already walloped by injury problems at the back.
According to the Daily Mirror, result from Fabinho's scan has shown that the midfielder suffered nothing than a grade one or two tear on his hamstring.
A grade-three tear would've seen the Liverpool midfielder who's is currently acting as a cover centre-half for injured Virgil van Dijk ruled out for four to six months.
Fabinho is now expected to return to action for the Reds - before or after their trip to Manchester City in the Premier League.
