A Brazil physio has reveal Alisson's return date after player had appeared fit for tonight's Premier League showdown
28-year-old Alisson picked up a shoulder injury at the end of last month, forcing him out of Liverpool’s last two Premier League matches, the 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa and last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Everton.
The Liverpool first choice goalkeeper was expected to be back in action against Sheffield after taking part in the Reds training sessions during the week.
But, in a sad news for the Premier League champions, Alisson is slated to return against West Ham next week according to Brazil Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar as stated by physio Fabio Mahseredjian.
‘Alisson had a shoulder injury on September 30, a trauma. An athlete from his own team fell on his shoulder,’ Mahseredjian said.
‘And on October 15 he was back for training sessions. Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar [Brazil Chief Medical Officer], in contact with Liverpool’s medical department, gave us a heads up by saying that Alisson would probably be available to Klopp, to Liverpool’s technical staff, on October 31.
"He would have three games before joining the Brazil team"
The revelation indicates that Alisson will also miss midweek's Champions League clash against Midtjylland.
