Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could miss Liverpool Premier League opener against Leeds United
The 27-year-old England midfielder picked up a knee injury at the Reds' training camp in Austria.
Speaking on the club’s Twitter channel, Jurgen Klopp said of the incident: "It was an unfortunate situation where there was a challenge.
"It looks like it’s very similar to what Hendo [captain Jordan Henderson] had.
"We don't know how long he'll be out but for sure, this pre-season, he will not make a game. After that, we’re not sure but we’ll see.
"The next game is two weeks later – but I don’t know, we have to wait.
"It's far away from being perfect. It's really hard for him and it’s hard for us."
