Liverpool want to take Espanyol defender Leandro Cabrera on loan according to reports

RCD Espanyol are on the brink of being relegated this season but Cabrera could help his way out of the club with interest from Liverpool.
According to Mundo Deportivo the 29-year-old centre back has been on the Reds radar with the Premier League champions now considering him as a possible supplement to their backline next season.
Cabrera joined Espanyol from Getafe earlier this year and still has four years left on his running contract with the La Liga club.
The Mundo Deportivo claims that the Uruguayan will be allowed to leave the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat on loan despite spending only five months of his signed four-year contract and that's because there was a clause on the contract that permits a loan switch if his Employer gets relegated.
Cabrera has been a stand out player in the La Liga and has scored three times in 35 La Liga appearances this season, looking outside Espanyol's poor campaign.
