Henderson had helped Liverpool go 2-0 ahead in just eight minutes at the Amex Stadium against Brighton on Wednesday evening
but late into the second half of the game the Liverpool captain collided with Yves Bissouma and had to be replaced by James Milner.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed after the match that Henderson may have suffered a keen injury during the collision and told his side to wait for scan result to determine the extent of the damage.
The Liverpool manager told Sky Sports : "I don't know what it is exactly but it looks like the knee. We will see. We will have to make scans but we know that it's not nothing, so that's already enough."
When asked in his post-match press conference if Henderson had left the stadium on crutches, Klopp added: "I don't know, I've had press since the game was over pretty much, so I have no idea how he left the dressing room."
Meanwhile former Blackburn Rovers captain Tim Sherwood has said it would be 'devastating' for Henderson not to lift the Reds Premier League trophy if the skipper has to remain sidelines in their final home fixture against Chelsea.
“Henderson looked like he jarred his knee and it would be devastating for Jordan if he is injured,” he told Premier League Productions.
“If he was to miss the run in and be unable to play in the game where Liverpool will actually lift the Premier League trophy, it would be a blow.
“I know how I felt when were were close to winning the title and I did not want to miss that opportunity to lift that trophy when the time came.
"Hopefully for Jordan’s sake, because he deserves it, he is able to play in that game when they finally get their hands on it."
