Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes was in Liverpool's radar before completing a move to Manchester United in January

Fernandes caught Klopp's eye with an impressive display against Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in America last summer.
After the game which ended in a 2-2 draw at the Yankee stadium, Klopp made a beeline for the former Sporting CP star and, according to O Jogo, the Liverpool manager told him: "Good game. You've been good," in their private chat, adding: "Congratulations for the great game. You're a top player."
Fernandes was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in 2019 but had to wait until January to get his dreamed move done.
And within two months of his coming to Old Trafford, the 25-year-old turned out a huge hit, scoring 3 goals with four assists in all competitions.
His impressive outings since joining the Old Trafford outfit has proved Klopp right of the private conversation they had in America nine months ago.
