Uncertainty continues to grow on whether this season's Premier League campaign will resume following the suspension of sporting events across the globe, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Premier League remains suspended until May with vast majority of England top-flight club having nine games left to take in this season.
Liverpool also join the league of clubs that have played 29 Premier League games so far and they sits 25 points clear at top of the league table with two wins away from securing the top-flight title.
Speaking during a Combat Corona Twitch FIFA competition, Manchester United defender Luke Shaw spoke ill of Liverpool's title hopes as he urged Premier League authorities to void and nullify the 2019-20 campaign leaving no chances for the Reds to winning the title.
Shaw insisted the 2019-20 league campaign should be made null and void rather than teams playing behind closed door without their respective club supporters.
"Scrap it and start again. Start it again, yeah," he said. "It's gotta be you know. If we can't carry it on it’s got to be void,"
"Fans are so important. You realise it even more [now]. I think the sport is for fans really, do you know what I mean?"I think if you don’t have fans, and you don’t play in front of fans, it just doesn’t feel right.
"Especially on matchday the fans are always amazing and always help the team. Whether it's home or even away, our fans are always brilliant and I feel like they’re always there with us."
