The Premier League leader are said to have contacted the player's agent over the prospect of bringing him to Anfield.
Brozovic has become a staple in Antonio Conte's side and is now renowned as one of the best midfielders in Italy.
The Croatia international has been at the San Siro since 2016 and played alongside Dejan Lovren in the 2018 World Cup final.
His performances at the 2018 World Cup caught the eye of so many, and it now looks like Liverpool may be prepared to make their move in the summer.
Italian newspaper Libero claims that European Champions, Liverpool, are pursuing a deal for the 27-year-old, with Inter Milan also monitoring Gini Wjnaldum's contract situation.
There have been speculations in the Italian press that Inter are interested in Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman's current deal runs out next summer but Liverpool are close to agreeing a new contract which will see him stay at the club until 2024.
Wijnaldum is set to earn around £120,000 per week and remains a big part of the club's plans moving forward.
Meanwhile, Brozovic has just over two years remaining on his Inter contract and his current release clause stands at £52million.
