Goalkeeper reveal his heart is set on Liverpool move

Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan has hinted he would want a switch to Liverpool in the future

The 24-year-old shot-stopper is one of the highly-rated goalkeepers in France and has kept seven clean sheets in the French Ligue 1 this season.

Liverpool's current development of signing younger players could leave the Reds hunting for a young goalie that can provide a long-term competition for Alison Becker, as the club's No.2 Adrian doesn't fit in, age wise.

Speaking as a guest on Canal Football Club, Maignan revealed his admiration for Liverpool, admitting he always loved watching the Reds play when he was younger.

"I have been a big fan of Liverpool since I was little," he sad.

"I like Steven Gerrard a lot, I used to love his style.

"Why not! [one day move to Liverpool]"
