The Liverpool defender has currently lost his place in Jurgen Klopp's first team
Joel Matip partnership with Virgil van Dijk’s in the centre-back is now being prioritised by Klopp , ending Joe Gomez place as first-choice center back since his return from injury.
Gomez missed the second half of last season after undergoing ankle surgery, having been a consistent figure at the heart of Liverpool’s backline before that.
The 22-year-old who can also play as a right-back has managed just one Premier League start this season but has since lost his place to the impressive Matip.
Matip's impressive stat since the start of the season can't be ruled out, becoming the PFA Player of the Month for September.
Meanwhile Virgil Van Dijk's importance to the team is unquestioned and with Trent Alexander-Arnold excelling on the flank, there is little Gomez can do but be patient.
Report from 90min.com now says the centre-back is ready to look elsewhere for opportunities naming Arsenal and Tottenham as favorite to get a deal done.
