Liverpool have been urged to sell star forward Mohamed Salah to fund move for Kylian Mbappe and Jadon Sancho or Kai Havertz
Salah is a huge fans' favourite at Anfield, with the Egyptian having fired Liverpool to the top of the English game in two Golden Boot-winning campaigns.
But the time could be right to sell Salah for mega money and land two out of three of the most exciting young talents on the planet in Mbappe, Sancho and Havertz.
That is according to Liverpool fan site Rousing the Kop , which says Liverpool should repeat the same trick as when they sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in 2018 and used the cash to strengthen the team.
Since signing Virgil van Dijk and Alisson with cash from the sale of Coutinho, Liverpool have become European champions and lost out in the Premier League title race by just a point to Manchester City.
The publication says: "Liverpool have proved in recent years that they can replace superstars when offered silly money for them. A case in point was using the Coutinho money to buy Alisson and Virgil Van Dijk, assembling the best defence in the world.
"With Edwards showing that he is a shrewd operator with a track record for buying low and selling high... Liverpool should sell Salah and spend half the money on Havertz. The Bayer Leverkusen wonder-kid bagged 17 goals and three assists last season, only turning 20 over the summer.
"Versatile, young and malleable, Havertz would flourish under Klopp.
"With a new kit deal with Nike on the horizon, and Salah money in his pocket, it is not unreasonable to think that Edwards could replace £36.9million signing Salah with two out of the three of Havertz, Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe."
