Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Roma over a £15m transfer for Dejan Lovren

Lovren fell down Jurgen Klopp's defensive pecking order last season with the German boss favoring Joel Matip in partnership with Virgil van Dijk in the center back position.
According to the ESPN, Italian club Roma are currently in negotiations with Liverpool to sign the Croatia international before the European transfer window closes.
Lovren is omitted from Liverpool's Super Cup squad against Chelsea due to brief illness but it is understood that positive negotiations are underway with Roma which could be the reason behind his exemption from the travelling squad to Istanbul.
In Liverpool's Community Shield defeat to Manchester City, the 30-year-old was on the bench and was also excluded from the Reds' matchday squad for the 4-1 Premier League victory over Norwich City.
This has prompt that his opportunities will be severely limited under Klopp during the campaign, and after Liverpool failed to negotiate a deal with Inter Milan earlier in the window, Roma are now attempting to finalise a deal for his services.
