Graeme Souness has criticised Fabinho's performance against N'golo Kante in Liverpool's Super Cup triumph

Wednesday Super Cup showdown saw Jurgen Klopp's men being held to a 2-2 draw by Chelsea after a 120 minute of entertaining football.
The Londoners who had previously suffered a humiliating 4-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester United were unbelievably impressive throughout the game forcing the Reds to win the prize in penalty shootout.
Fabinho started in a midfield trio with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner but Kante who delivered a brilliant performance at the heart of Chelsea midfield could outshone the Reds arrangement in his first start since recovering from injury.
And Liverpool legeng Graeme Souness is convinced Chelsea were best to win the Super Cup clash.
"This guy [Fabinho], twice he had Kante dance past him as if he had Jacques Cousteau boots, lead boots on," Souness told Virgin Media Sport Ireland.
"They were not Liverpool, I'm not seeing a Liverpool that resembles the Liverpool we saw last season.
"I'm amazed Liverpool were more tired than Chelsea, they've had two extra days to rest.
"I was disappointed with Liverpool tonight, I expected them to be lively, energetic and win comfortably, even by two or three goals.
"In reality I thought they were second best for the largest part, I thought Chelsea played better football, more energy.
"Given Chelsea played Sunday and Liverpool played Friday that should not have been the case."
