That's according to speculations springing up over the days, with the Red still on the search for a left-back this summer.

Gareth Bale was left out of Madrid's pre-season clash with Bayern Munich earlier this week, but came on to score against Arsenal in a penalty shoot-out victory on Wednesday.

The Welshman days at the Bernabeu now appears to be coming closer to its end as Real boss Zinedine Zidane confirmed he will be leaving this summer.

Speaking after the Bayern game, Zidane said: "Bale did not play because he is very close to leaving.

"We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team.

"I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done, I have to make decisions. We have to change."

There have been rumours that Liverpool are interested on landing Bale but Jurgen Klopp has rubbishes such speculations, pointing out why the 30-year-old can't be part of his rank.

In an interview with Sky Sports Klopp said: "These fantastic football players have some strange ideas. I respect them all so much, but they probably only say these things because somebody asked them.

"Bale is a Real Madrid player and if he leaves it will be outstandingly expensive and big wages.

"He is an outstanding player, I like him a lot but it is not about him. You have to create a team. A team is not a collection of the best individual players, they have to work together."
