Liverpool duo Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino were in Brazil starting XI for the tournament finale in Rio de Janeiro, where goals from Everton and Gabriel Jesus sandwiched a Paolo Guerrero penalty in the first half.
Richarlison’s last-minute spot-kick secured the trophy for the Selecao, becoming their first Copa America triumph since 2007.
Meanwhile, the victory over Peru on Sunday evening brought Alisson and Firmino a second major honour this year after Liverpool’s Champions League success on June 1.
Alisson who also won the competition's golden glove, played the whole of the match while Firmino was substituted with a quarter of an hour remaining.
The Liverpool Brazilians are now expected to take an end-of-season break before returning to Merseyside for the 2019-20 campaign.
