Rafael Camacho permanent transfer to Sporting CP has nothing to do with Liverpool signing Bruno Fernandes
| ||||||
Liverpool confirmed the sale of Rafa Camacho to Sporting Lisbon for a fee worth around £5million on Thursday.
The 19-year-old made two first-team appearances during his time on Merseyside and was a regular for Neil Critchley's U23s last season.
It was believed that the deal, in some way, would trigger Bruno Fernandes move to Anfield as the Sporting CP captain has been linked with the Merseysiders in recent months.
But reports from Portuguese outlets Record and A Bola have rubbishes such speculations admitting Camacho sale has no ties with Liverpool's interest on Fernandes and the Reds must have to strike a separate deal for the midfielder if they meant to sign him this summer.
