RB Leipzig chief has confirmed Timo Werner is resisting a new contract to remain at the Red Bull Arena

Werner has been Liverpool’s target since last summer, following former team-mate Naby Keita’s move to Merseyside.
The 23-year-old has scored 14 goals this season for the Bulls while he also has as many assists to boot. He netted on Saturday in their 2-0 win over Wolfsburg - being his third goal in his last four Bundesliga outings.
Speaking at half-time in their Saturday victory, RB Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff admitted that Werner may be playing his final games for Leipzig.
"It's well known that we want to extend with him. But he's signalled to us that he does not want to sign a new contract.
"We need to see what’s right for us and for Timo."
Werner is out of contract in the summer of 2020, meaning Leipzig may have to cash in on his as soon as possible, or risk losing him for free.
