The Liverpool legend has urged Jurgen Klopp's men to win all of their remaining fixtures if they want to beat Manchester City to the League title
| ||||||
It came after Manchester City managed to escape with a narrow 1-0 win against Tottenham in the Premier League weeks ago.
The two teams first locked horns in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with the Cityzen losing their spot on away goals after a 4-4 aggregate scoreline.
With few games in hand, it is obvious that Liverpool's title hopes is only fated by Manchester City giving off points in their final fixtures, else winning all off their remaining league games won't guarantee Jurgen Klopp's side the title.
The former Liverpool skipper believe the Reds must put their best to get all three points in their remaining clashes and keep in mind that City losing points will put them crowned champions.
"City have had to be at it because of Liverpool," Souness said after the 1-0 win over Totteham.
"Liverpool's form has been sensational as well. And they know they’ve got to win every game now starting tomorrow.
"They know they have difficult games, but they will stay right behind them. I think they will have to win every single game to win this league.
"They are a special team and it’s not beyond them, but Man City weren't at their best today but they still won."
