Virgil van Dijk is set for a new Liverpool contract that would see him become a joint-top earners at the club

Last year it was understood that Liverpool were paying van Dijk £124,658-a-week after his move from Southampton in January.
The Dutchman performance since his arrival at Anfield has caught the eyes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, and there are fears that the both La Liga giants could splash out in the summer.
The Spanish giants are looking to strengthen their back four this summer and Liverpool are taking no chances with their ace centre-back, who has been vital in their Premier League title pursuit this season.
Virgil van Dijk is now due for a staggering £200,000-a-week contract with the Reds to inspire his Anfield stay and repel interest from Spain.
The new improved contract plus other add-ons including an up front loyalty bonus of £5million plus another £4million loyalty payment on completing 150 games, would see him becoming the second highest paid star behind Mo Salah.
