Ahead of their Tuesday Champions League clash with Liverpool, the Dutchman believe Jurgen Klopp's men are on their best form again after reaching the final last year.

The Reds however had struggled through their group stage fixtures, losing all their away matches but made a slim pass to tie up with Bayern Munich in the last-16 round.

Meanwhile, Group E leaders Bayern have had a relatively poor season in their domestic league sitting six points behind Borussia Dortmund in the table.

And Robben think it will make a great challenge for his side ahead of their first leg clash at Anfield: "Liverpool are doing well again, just like last year when they made it to the final, and I also see them as a favourite for the Champions League victory this season,”

"For us, it was perhaps the worst possible draw, but it’s going to be a great challenge, we have to look at ourselves, keep working hard and improve ourselves.

"If we have a good day and play the way we want, I’m sure we’ll make it very difficult for Liverpool."

Arjen Robben is however in doubt for the big game at Anfield on Tuesday as he struggle to recover from a thigh injury he's sustained in November .
