Since joining Liverpool in 2014 the Serbian has witnessed several loan moves to Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht after three years of his last appearance for the Anfield club.

Markovic enjoyed 34 games in his first season at Anfield, scoring three goals.

His last appearance was in 2015 when Liverpool recorded a 2-1 win over QPR and since then he has experienced regular loan switches out of the club.

According to Turkish publication Star a move for the 24-year-old to join Besiktas is on the cards before the window shuts down.
