The Barcelona hitman during his days at Liverpool, formed a deadly partnership with Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling which nearly helped Liverpool to a Premier League title.

Suarez left Liverpool for Barcelona on a £75m deal after the season they slipped-off the chances to be Premier League Champions under Bredan Rodgers.

But Jurgen Klopp's side this term has succeeded in surpassing League champions Manchester City to five points clear at the top of the table.

Answering questions in an interview with German football magazine 11FREUNDE, Suarez said: "Anyone who has ever played in Liverpool remains connected to the club for a lifetime.

"The team plays terrific football and I am very interested in how they will do this year.

"I think we can still be prepared for a lot."

"But sure every player would like to train under Jurgen Klopp."
