Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed the message he received from Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard
Alexander-Arnold, following his first goal for England against USA was congratulated by the former Red skipper.
The Liverpool right-back became an important player under Jurgen Klopp after he impressed for the German last season.
And that saw him included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in Russia.
Alexander-Arnold told the Liverpool Echo: "Stevie texted me after to say 'well done' and that meant a lot.
"That was something really special. It's always good to be in contact with someone you look up to so much.
"He's a busy man with the job at Rangers and it's great to see him doing so well up in Scotland. It's exciting for him.
"Everyone at Liverpool wishes him the best and wants to see him do well and I'm sure he will."
