Andy Robertson expect his side to continue in the new year with the same momentum
Liverpool became nine-point clear at the top of the Premier League table in 2018 after a comfortable 5-1 victory over Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday.
They have sailed through the first half of the season unbeaten in the Premier League and how they are prepared for the next half will be tested when they travel to the Etihad to lock horns with Manchester City on January 3rd.
Robertson, 24, who has been one outstanding player for the Reds has urged his team mate to finish the season in glory after their sublime display through midway.
"At Anfield we’ve been incredible," Robertson told the Liverpool official website.
"You can throw in the special Champions League nights we've had here as well. It has been a special year at Anfield – I'm sure the fans have enjoyed it and so have we.
"But now it's about taking that form into 2019 because nothing has been achieved this year.
"We came close of course in May and we have started well this season but we need to go into 2019 and hopefully that calendar year can bring a trophy."
