Liverpool signing Isreali ace could ignite Mo Salah exit

Liverpool are considering signing Moanes Dabour as a backup for Roberto Firmino

Lfc rumour
The Isreali forward who play as a No.9 for Red Bull Salzburg has netted 33 times in 65 outings for the Austrian Bundesliga club.

According to FootballWhisper, Liverpool chief scout Barry Hunter has traveled to Austria to scout the player as the Reds prepare to enter negotiations with RB Salzburg this January.

Liverpool signing Dabour will add the striker to the leagues of Jewish players, the likes of Ronny Rosenthal, Avi Cohen and Yossi Benayoun who have starred at Anfield.

But reports from several outlets have claimed the signing could create problems for Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

Isreali publishers Jerusalem Post alleged that Salah could force his way out of Anfield if the Reds eventually sign the Jewish striker. But then they also cite those close to Salah as saying it's not the striker's concern who Liverpool sign.

Salah was said to have refused to shake the hands of Maccabi Tel Aviv players but rather shew them a fist pump in the second leg when they took on his side FC Basel back in 2014 .

It became a major talking point in Swiss football with the notion he was placed under pressure by public opinion in his home country not to shake hands.

Back in 1967 the two countries fought 'the six day war' over territory.

However relations between the countries have improved of the past few years, especially after the 2013 Egyptian coup d'etat.
