Jurgen Klopp takes the blame for Henderson suspension

Jurgen Klopp has admitted he made a mistake that led to Henderson being sent off at Watford

Lfc rumour against WatfordThe Liverpool skipper missed Sunday's Merseyside derby under suspension of the red card he picked up in their 3-0 victory over Watford.

Goals from Mohammed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino earned Liverpool three points to maintain their spot in the Premier League standings before the derby.

Henderson was sent off the game after he picked up two yellow cards in the second half when the Reds were two goals ahead.

But Klopp think he should be blamed for not taken the skipper off before he was red-carded.

"It happens," he said.

"Jordan Henderson was not happy about his mistake but what a guy he is.

"He has a heart like this so sometimes it leads you on the wrong path.

"We wanted to change him but we were a little bit too late."
