Arnold scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool with a stunning freekick curled over the Watford fence to leave goalkeeper Ben Foster helpless.

After the Liverpool full-back made it on the scoresheet, former Arsenal star and MOTD pundit thinks they are now best friends.

It appears the Arsenal legend was asked by Alexander-Arnold to sign a shirt for his brother - which he duly did.

Asked about the goal by Gary Lineker, Wright replied: "My mate. I had to sign something for his brother. I had to sign a shirt for him.

"I'm trying to take credit for the fact he's starting to score goals. I just love the fact for a 20-year-old, to say I'm taking this, and the confidence.

"He gets so low - it's Beckham-esque. He's got three first names, he has to be special."

Meanwhile, another Arsenal legend Alex Scott who played for the Arsenal ladies was also hit by the stunner.

She said: “Trent Alexander-Arnold - a player that continues to grow and show maturity way beyond his years.

“The confidence of him to be able to dismiss Mane or Salah and have the confidence to want to take the free kick and finish it the way he does.

“It’s an exquisite free kick and continues his great week after scoring for England.”
