Liverpool kick off their Champions League opener when they stage Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night
Some major names may not be available for the game as both team target to start their campaign with victory.
PSG are set to play without key midfielder Marco Verratti who is suspended as well as Italian stopper Gianluigi Buffon.
The suspended PSG star, Marco Verratti has told team mates to expect a tougher challenge and not be carried away by their current form in the French Ligue one
"Before Liverpool it's good as we won all our games, but Liverpool will be different," Verratti told reporters.
"They are a team who play very well at home. They have experience in the Champions League as they reached the final last season.
"It's an important test for us, not decisive but it's good to start with a complicated game."
Meanwhile, Liverpool are not sure if Roberto Firmino would be available following an eye injury he sustained in a gruesome clash with Jan Vertonghen on Saturday.
However, Firmino will be treated by Reds medical staff at Melwood and assessed nearer the match before a decision is made either way.
Liverpool would increase their chances of qualifying from Group C if they can defeat group-favorite PSG at home before they travel to Italy to face Napoli.
