Klopp is a keen admirer of Christian Pulisic and have submitted two offers for him in the past
Pulisic, who's contract at Borussia Dortmund will terminate in 2020, has been the subject of two bids for Liverpool in recent years and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is fan of the 19-year-old.
But a deal for the US international this window is on the edge of collapsing as Klopp insists he will not enter business with Dortmund for the 19-year-old ahead of the new Premier League season, since the player is still under contract.
"He has a contract at Dortmund," Klopp said ahead of Sunday's clash with the Bundesliga side. "That’s the first problem.
"I know Christian, I liked him since he was a kid. He’s a fantastic player, it’s deserved people think highly of him, in Germany it’s the same.
"If he wants to play in England he has the chance to do so but he’s at a really good club already.
"He had not his best season last year but he was a decisive player but it’s important, there’s no rush, that’s good and he wants to be the best Pulisic he can be.
"If he joined us, I don’t know, I like him, but we respect contracts and there’s no market I know about him.
"We did our business and Dortmund did theirs."
Klopp who has spent a whopping sum this summer to re-shape his squad is unlikely to make any more addition this window as he earlier told reporters he have all he needed for the new season after he completed a move for Brazil goalkeeper Alisson.
