What Klopp said about keeping Sturridge after impressive display

Daniel Sturridge scoring twice at Chester has impressed Red fans but his Anfield future still to be concerned about

It is obvious that Sturidge has struggled to get regular games under Jurgen Klopp  after several injury setback.

The Liverpool forward spent half of last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion with an end goal to come back to full match wellness and he starred only six times for the Baggies.

In Saturday's 7-0 win over Chester Sturridge netted twice, putting up an impressive display for the Reds and Klopp has lauded his performance while answering questions whether the 28-year-old is still part of his plan for this season.

"We are not thinking about his future yet," he told reporters. "At this point, everyone has a chance to show me what they can do.

"Most of the time he hasn’t played for me because of injuries. We will see what happens but if he plays like that, it helps us.

"I saw a lot of good things from Daniel so he needs more that he can still impress me. I know about his quality. A very positive week, very positive today, he looked really good."
