Liverpool bid £150m for Real Madrid's Asensio

Liverpool have reportedly launched a lucrative offer for Real Madrid and Spanish star Marco Asensio

The Los blancos midfielder is currently with Spain squad in the ongoing World Cup in Russia and has made only one appearance coming from the bench in their 1-0 win over Iran.

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Asensio and Liverpool have made a British transfer-record offer for the midfielder, a value around £150m.

The Reds currently holds the record after they sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January for a stunning £142million fee.

Marco Asensio made most of his appearances for Real Madrid from the bench and has showed great potential despite being shadowed by the qualities that has already occupied the team. He fired-in 11 goals and produce six assist in 53 appearances last season.

It is maintained that the 22-year-old is unsatisfied with his lack of regular game at the Bernabeu and will entertain calls from clubs where he can get regular fist team show.

And on the fact that it is yet unknown what his future holds under new Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui, Asensio could welcome a move to Liverpool being aware of his frustrating experience under former boss Zinedine Zidane.

Liverpool successfully concluded the signing of two new midfielders Naby Keita and Fabinho after losing Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho this year, and they seem not relaxed to make more additions.
