Mohamed Salah have had a stunning season under the Reds since his arival from Italian side Roma.

Salah 25, has netted a bulk of 44 goals for Liverpool this season and helping his nation to secure a third World Cup place since their second appearance in 1990 and current Ballon d'or holder, Critiano Ronaldo, think the  Egyptian have the chance of winning the award this term.

In the past nine years the award has only be dominated by both Portuguese's Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina star Lionel Messi, and Mohamed Salah could be on a verge to disrupt such long dominance of the two La Liga superstars.

“Salah has been one of the revelations of the year,” said Ronaldo.

“I hope his injury in the final in Kiev doesn’t keep him out.

“Many people talk about the battle for the Ballon d’Or between between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but there are other players who have a chance to enter the race. Salah is certainly one of them.”
