Liverpool could face battle for Nabil Fekir if they are to renew their interest for the Ligue one star
Fekir was reportedly close to a move to Anfield before the World Cup in Russia.
The transfer became halted due to injury concern after a medical he had with Liverpool. Few days later the transfer collapsed following a statement by his club Lyon
The French club Lyon issued a statement explaining that it has ended negotiations with Liverpool
"The three-way negotiations with Liverpool and Nabil Fekir have not been successful and Olympique Lyonnais has decided to end this negotiation tonight," The Ligue one club announced.
However before a medical was realized Liverpool could offered £53m for the Ligue one playmaker who's contract with Lyon will terminate 2020 and Lyon has valued him at over €70m.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo Barcelona are keen admirer of Nabil Fekir admitting that the 24-year-old brings together the versatility needed by the Catalan club.
Fekir earlier this week was questioned about his Liverpool switch while in Russia with France, he told reporters:
"It was great to see (Lyon chairman) Jean-Michel Aulas yesterday at Istra (base camp) but we did not at all discuss my situation at Lyon," he said.
"You know I am here with France, I am happy, and I am not here to discuss my personal situation. We will see about all that later."
