Brazil captain Thiago Silva has explained why Liverpool have pulled off a masterstroke in signing £45million midfielder Fabinho
The Paris Saint Germain defender is optimistic the Liverpool new boy will adapt to the Premier League without delay.Fabinho will officially sign for the Reds on July 1, after successfully completing a medical and finalising terms on a long-term contract.
Speaking at Tottenham's training ground, where Brazil are preparing for the World Cup, Silva told the press: "[Fabinho] is really smart, a really technical player and I am sure he will get adapted to the Premier League as soon as he arrives here."
“He changed his position at Monaco, he was a right-back and now he’s a midfielder.
“I don’t know how the club are thinking about using him.
“But I believe he can help Liverpool in both positions.”
