Liverpool have hold back their interest to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco
The French man was linked with move to Anfield last summer with report on deadline claiming Liverpool medical staff are ready to travel to France to complete a test to secure a deadline deal for the Monaco star.
Lemar was brilliant for the French side scoring 14 goals in 54 game for Monaco last term.
Assisting Monaco to the Ligue 1 tittle last season Lemar drew attention from several top European clubs including Liverpool and Arsenal.
Yet Lemar has been unable to maintain the same high levels of performance this season, managing to find the net just three times.
And the Liverpool Echo say Klopp is no longer assure he is the right man for Liverpool’s already formidable attack.
That could now leave an open door for Arsenal to negotiate freely for him.
Monaco president Vadim Vasilyev on Tuesday give green light to clubs wanting to sign the 22-year-old admitting he (Lemar) would be allowed to leave the Monte Carlo outfit.
"Good luck to those who want him,”said Vasilyev. When asked about how much he would cost, he simply added: “He would cost a lot.”
Meanwhile Klopp is reportedly keeping eyes on Juventus star.
