Roma stars have warned Mohamed Salah to stay cool when they play Liverpool else they will beat him up
Mohamed Salah will face his former club in the Champions League semi final on Tuesday at Anfield with the return leg scheduled for the upper week.
The Egypt international have been impressive since he left Roma and in no doubt will be a formidable opponent when Liverpool stage Roma on Tuesday.
Roma right-back Bruno Peres has revealed team-mate Kostas Manolas often talks to Salah, and added: “We warned Salah not to try anything, or he’s getting beaten up!
“In fact, Kostas won’t talk to him for a while, so if he needs to give him a kicking, he won’t feel bad about it!
“Afterwards, they can be friends again!
“We know how well he’s doing at the moment at Liverpool, that he’s a player who can do something different, but Roma deserve to be in the semi-final.”
Roma came from an aggregate of three goals down to knock Barcelona out of the Champion League at the quarter-final stage but they head into the last-four tie against Liverpool as the underdogs.
Peres said: “We’ve got to believe we can do it against Liverpool and remember we’re not here by some fluke.
“We need humility, focus, everything we’ve shown to get this far.
“We watched many Liverpool home games to prepare and it’ll be tough, just as it was with Barcelona. We need a good result from the first leg.”
