Leicester City boss Claude Puel have insisted Liverpool and Arsenal-linked Riyad Mahrez Won't leave the club
Claude Puel reckons £100m-rated Riyad Mahrez is staying at Leicester.The Frenchman slapped a £100m price tag on the star this week and hopes his club's owners don't flinch.
Mahrez, 26, has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal.
The Reds are ready to splash the cash after selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142m.
But City chief Puel, whose side host Watford today, is confident the Algerian star will remain at the King Power.
“He's enjoying playing for Leicester with his team-mates,” said the Frenchman, who slapped the £100m price tag on Mahrez earlier this week.
“This is the most important thing - we have this good feeling that the player wants to stay with us.
“It is important for us to keep a good feeling with our player.”
“My boss - the owner - will decide,”
Mahrez was part of Leicester team that won against Fleetwood in the FA cup third round replay, on his performance Puel added:
“You can see he's enjoying it. He was a good captain,”
