United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all looking at the Ivory Coast international Jean-Micheal Seri according to the Daily Mirror
The 26 year-old who currently play for French League one side OG Nice has once attracted interest from both Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain.
Seri has a €40m - £35m - release clause in his Nice contract, which has 18 months left to run, and is set to spark a scramble for his signature this summer.
The Daily Mirror reported that sources close to Seri says he wants to move to the Premier League, which would rule out PSG, leaving United, Liverpool, Chelsea and City to fight for his signature.
United will lose Michael Carrick this summer and are actively looking for a replacement in central midfield, while Liverpool are also on the lookout, with Emre Can's future uncertain and Jordan Henderson injury-prone the last two seasons.
Chelsea want Seri, with serious doubts over the enduring value of summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko, while City will lose Yaya Toure this summer and must bring in a central midfielder this summer as a long-term successor to Fernandinho.
