Ian Wright Likens Mohamed Salah to Barcelona key man Lionel Messi
The Egyptian shone once again last Saturday evening as Liverpool hosted Leicester City scoring twice to cling three points for the Reds.
Mohamed Salah who have scored 17 Premier League goals this season is just a goal behind top scorer Harry Kane and former Arsenal legend Ian Wright think Salah has the vibe as five-time Ballon d'or winner Lionel Messi.
Wright said: "I’m not saying he is as good as who I am going to say but dare I say it...
"He reminds me of [Lionel] Messi, the scampering way he plays, he has a Messi vibe."
According to the Mirror Alan Shearer, who was sitting alongside Wright on the Match of the Day sofa, didn't make a similar comparison, but the Premier League's all-time top scorer was impressed with Salah's display against Claude Puel's Foxes.
He said: "He got in so many good positions, he can play anywhere across the front line. He can play on the left, the right or through the middle.
"He has got such quick feet, the way he gets away from defenders, they know that once he is there they can’t touch him.
"You can’t go anywhere near him, the balance is superb.
"The [second] goal has everything about it, strength, precision, power, pace and accuracy with the finish. That’s what won the game."
