Manchester City to compete Liverpool to land Virgil Van Dijk in January.
The Dutch full back who was heavily linked last season with move to Anfield despite his interest to join the Reds last season the Saint club refused a move.
According to recent reports 'Liverpool received green light' on the race to land Van Dijk this January but the case now seems different as Machester City's Boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly looking to add one or two men to his back line in January.
The Daily Mirror reports that Manchester City's Pep Guardiola could spark a tug-of-war for Virgil van Dijk after confirming he will target a new defender in January.
The City boss has claimed targeting a new defender is not on the phase that John stones was ruled out for six weeks with hamstring injury but to enlarge the team squad number.
