Juventus to reignite their interest on Emre Can in January

EMRE CAN already has a contract waiting for him at Juventus, according to reports

The Serie A side had a £23million bid rejected for the Germany international on transfer deadline day with Liverpool hoping he would agree an extension this season.

But with less than 10 months remaining on his current deal, the Reds have struggled to convince him to stay.

Lfc rumourCan apparently wanted to have a release clause inserted into his new contract, but talks came to a standstill after both parties failed to reach an agreement over these terms.

Juventus chief Beppe Moratta has confirmed the club will look to reignite their interest in Can in the January transfer window.

But Correire dello Sport claim Liverpool will not allow him to leave as they are determined to strike a deal with him.

However, it is said there is frequent contact between the player's representatives and Juve over a transfer.

And the Italian side already have a contract drawn up and ready for him to sign in the summer.

But he could put pen to paper on this as early as January, with Can being able to talk with other clubs and strike a pre-contract agreement.

The player himself fuelled rumours of a departure this week after admitting it is an "honour" to receive an offer from Juventus.

But outlined his focus remains on Liverpool as his agent will take care of his future

"It's always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club," Can said.

"Currently though I'm just focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest.

"The Premier League is just a really cool league, the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues."
