Frank Lampard says Liverpool can beat 'any team in the world' at their best but warns defensive errors must be cut out
Frank Lampard believes Liverpool have the firepower capable of beating any team of the world, but warns they must cut out 'basic mistakes'.
Liverpool were held 2-2 at home by Sevilla in their Champions League opener having led and missed a penalty before the break.
Jurgen Klopp's side had fought back after conceding an early goal when Dejan Lovren slipped when going to clear a cross.
And while Liverpool's response was breathtaking Lampard believes their failures at the back are preventing them from turning performances into points.

"We saw both sides of Liverpool, lots of good stuff – fast play, entertaining stuff to watch,' Lampard told BT Sport after the match.
"When it clicks they can beat any team in the world, but if they’re going to make the basic mistakes they can make then you can lose points in a game you’re in a fantastic position to win."
