The Reds issued a public statement outlining their prized asset is not for sale, and Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that he will stay at Anfield.
Although the chances of Coutinho leaving Anfield this summer may look slim a deal with Barcelona can still pull through if the Reds fail to qualify for the Uefa Champiions League
group stage or by next summer
Coutinho, 25, has been the subject of three bids from Barcelona already, but all have been rejected by Liverpool.
But Barcelona continue to persist as they look to find a replacement for Neymar, who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee of £200m.
And The Sun say the La Liga giants will have one last throw of the dice to sign Philippe Coutinho by lodging a £136m offer.
It is said they will pay the Reds £100m up front with add-ons of £36m.
The extras involve Liverpool getting £9m each time Barcelona qualify for the Champions League over the next four seasons, which is virtually guaranteed.
Ernesto Valverde’s side are also apparently willing to offer Coutinho a five-year deal if a move to the Nou Camp was to materialise, The Sun say.
Coutinho is reportedly keen on a move to Barca himself after handing in a transfer request.
