Leon Osman warns Reds over move for RB Leipzig star
£70m too much for Naby Keita said Leon Osman |
RB Leipzig enjoyed a hugely impressive debut Bundesliga campaign, finishing second behind only
Bayern Munich.
Keita, 22, was key to much of their success, scoring eight goals and providing the same number of assists in 31 top flight appearances.
They have slapped a mouth-watering £70m price tag on the Guinea international to try and warn off any potential suitors.
But Starsport understand Liverpool are still set to test the water with a bid.
However Osman isn't sure that
would be a wise move.
"With the way the Premier League is going, the top two teams, Chelsea and Tottenham, have got [Victor] Wanyama and [N'Golo] Kante winning the ball back," said the former Everton star, speaking on BBC Radio 5Live.

"It does seem to be a big part of the Premier League but I think to go out and pay £70m for a player who, with all due respect, is just destroying, and he [Keita] has only done one season of it, it's an incredible risk as far as I'm concerned.
